May we wish happy December birthdays to Lions David Neale on the 12th, Clay Heathco the 16th, Chuck Lewis the 17th, Grant Weaver the 19th, Howie Venners the 28th and Bob Lewis the 31st. And let’s not forget Jesus on the 25th.

We finally carved out a nitch in our schedule for an installation. It isn’t that we didn’t consider Mike New important, just the opposite! Hop aboard Mike – we welcome you as a new member.

Good Christmas sale, Ladies. We made $2,150. There was a lot of stuff not sold. A lady came along and offered the club $200 for the left overs and that included hauling it away. There has got to be a Santa.

If anyone knows of anyone who might be interested in buying a very pristine trailer it can be had for $400. You can get a lot of pleasure out of $400. If interested contact Lion Bill Srader.

Our van needs a face-lift; the paint is peeling around the top. Those in the know feel that this will lead to rust if it hasn’t already. If the top is peeling, it is inevitable that the rest of the body will fall prey to the peeling and rust. It is felt that the top should be painted, if not the remainder of the van. Research is being done on reputable places. This will be further discussed at the next business meeting.

We received the resignation from Bob White. He is still interested in the club and would like to belong, but his working hours will not permit.

It was voted on at the previous board meeting to contact those with delinquent dues and if there were no results, to cancel their membership. John Farmer, Josh Ball and Bill Summers are no longer members.

Lion President Jerry and Lion Todd got their heads together and discussed working on a membership drive. Lion Jerry would like for the club to come up with some new projects. He plans on promoting the health fair again this year.

Because of the holidays in December, there will be no board meeting, so hang on to your Growler for January’s schedule. It will probably still be on our website.

Our Christmas dinner will be December 16. Spouses and significant others are invited. Entertainment will be from Herron High. Our next business meeting will be December 2; if you don’t come you will be missed.
