MARINA LIONS ROAR INTO GILROY CORN FEED!

Friday, August 21st, Lions Lenore, Mike, Tom, Andrea, June, Dale, Ron, and five potential members (who had helped us with the "Fireworks" fund raiser this past 4th of July) attended the Gilroy Lions Corn Feed and contested for the "Golden Hog Award" for the highest stack of corn husks. While making a valiant effort, our "stack" topped out at close to three feet before toppling over.  However, as champions in 2006 and 2007, we brought our trophies to proudly display them at our table. Lions Lenore, Mike, and guest Andy, won prizes in the raffle which ended the event. All agreed that the food was great and the company even better, but next year we will once again be victorious in the corn stacking contest. Go Marina Lions!
