COVERT TOWNSHIP LIONS CLUB 2008 - 2009 FY ACTIVITIES Hosted a blood drive on August 19 with the American Red Cross.

Covert Lions greeted the Covert Public School busses on September 2nd as the children arrived for the first day of school. The were presented with pencils, erasers and book marks from the Leader Dog School.

We installed one new Lion in June Lion Laura Fogerty .

Covert Lions Club Hosted the Lion Orientation Training Session on Tuesday, September 30 for all new Lions an their sponsors. The session was conducted by DG Linda Bosma, PDG Jerry Likes and Lion Ray Llorens.

 Covert Lions Arts & Crafts show was held on Saturday, November 15. This was our first HARVEST ARTS AND CRAFTS SHOW In lieu of the annual Christmas Arts and Crafts show Distributed 64 Food Baskets and 75 Toys to local residents. Donated food and clothing to a Covert family after a fatal house fire in December.

Donated a talking scale and a hand held recorder to a blind Covert resident. 7 pairs of glasses were given to needy Covert residents.

15 Leos participated in the September Adopt A Highway cleanup along M-140 Hwy, along with Advisor Lion Shirley Ashley and her daughter Donna. January, 2009, Blood Drive with Covert Public Schools.
