Candy Day set for October 9, 10, and 11
Candy Day will take place this year on Friday October 9 through Sunday October 11. Lion Dave Gross (847-361-6199) has arranged for times at both Elgin Jewels as well as Walmart on Randall Road; please contact him to confirm your slots. This activity is one of three major fund raisers for the Elgin Lions Club and needs our full support in order to be successful. Lion Dave has done his part, now the rest of us need to step up.
Fourth Major Fund Raiser Sought
Lion President Ed Bates has announced that the Elgin Lions need to establish a fourth fund raiser in order to solicit enough funds for our eyeglass program. At a recent Board Meeting many ideas were discussed and all members are encouraged to contact any Board Member with their ideas. The timing for this event would be between Candy Day in October and Rose Day before Easter.
