The Jarvis Lions have proudly served the Jarvis community for 61 years and counting!
Our members come from many walks of life. We are farmers, construction workers, mechanics, electricians, plumbers, insurance agents, funeral directors, vehicle salesmen, lawyers and others - but we share a core belief - our community is worth working for.
Here are some of the projects our club has been involved in recently:
- $250,000 park renovation project, in partnership with Haldimand County and Ontario Trillium Foundation
- Complete rebuild of kitchen and bar area of Jarvis Community Centre
- Funding of 2 Dog Guides
- Organization of an annual Christmas -time food drive to benefit the Jarvis Food Bank
Besides these Lions Club driven projects, we the Jarvis Lions support many different community organizations, including but not limited to:
- Local hospital fundraising
- Local youth organizations
- Lions driven camps for dialysis patients, children with cancer and the deaf
- Community churches' Christmas hamper program
- Local school playground and programming projects
