The Kalamazoo Westside Lions Club working on a service project in Bronson Park.

Our club was chartered on May 15th, 2002.  We currently have 32 members.  We are a part of District 11 B-2 which encompasses southwest Michigan (Van Buren, Berrien, Cass, St. Joseph and Kalamazoo counties). 

We help support:  Leader Dog for the Blind, Welcome Homes, Michigan EyeBank, Lions Club International Foundation, Sightfirst, Lions of Michigan Service Foundation, All State Band, Diabetes Foundation, JDRF,  Bear Lake Camp, Camp Chris, and KidSight.  

We purchase eyglasses and hearing aids for the needy (in zip codes 49006 and 49009), after an application form is filled out to determine need.  The eyeglasses that we collect go to help people in third world countries.  Our next Great Eyeglass Challenge is November 7th in Gelien.

Our next meeting will be Thursday, November 12th, at 6:30 p.m. at the Oshtemo Community Center.
