Retaining Wall Project
On 7/13, assisted by Lion Bill Macaras and park employees, we completed the slope retention wall that shores up baseball field 1 and forms the basis for an amphitheater.

The 2010 Citizens of the Year Banquet has been scheduled for March 13, 2010. For further information and to volunteer, phone General Chair Pat Medveckus at 884-5097.

KP Lions sponsored a junior team.

The Club has joined other 19C clubs providing support for Lions Clubs International Foundation, Northwest Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center, Lions Youth Exchange and Northwest Lions Foundation for Sight and Hearing.
Announcements
Timing of the regular meetings has been changed slightly, as follows: Social at 6, dinner 6:35, program at 7. The time from 6 to 6:35 provides an opportunity to socialize and have dinner.
All speakers are scheduled for 7 p.m. Meetings are at the Key Peninsula Civic Center, 17010 S. Vaughn Road KPN. Meetings are open to the public at 7 p.m. Please invite your friends, relatives and neighbors.
Lion Scott Gallacher, with the assistance of Lion Hugh McMillan, is taking care of t the mint program, which in the past has provided a steady income flow for sight conservation needs. Please support the program by buying mints.
Parks
Home Park has been completed and in September celebrated the first anniversary of opening. The Club helped build a fence at Taylor Bay and in building a slope retention wall at Volunteer Park.
Club News
Three youth were hosted last Winter, two from Australia and one from New Zealand. Ed and Lori Robison hosted two youth this Summer, one from Austria and one from Japan. They will again host two youth this Winter, from Australia and New Zealand.
