WHO BENEFITS ?

Our main aim to support the local community. Young,old,disabled,anybody who needs our help and also the charities and local organisations supporting them. The Yeo Valley Lions Mini Bus is well known around the local villages as it takes people on regular shopping trips and social outings

Among the groups and individuals assisted with money raised: Caravan Holidays for the disabled; Lions Sight First project against preventable blindness; Minibus running costs; Playground new equipment & Fun Days; Court de Wyck, Yatton Junior & St Andrews' Congresbury & Backwell Schools for Summer Camps; Yatton Junior Football Club; The West of England MS Therapy Centre.Nailsea; Wrington Friendship Club; Lions Brass for Youth Brass Band; Young Cricketers 6s Competition; Local young people on overseas charitable enterprises and direct donations to Lions Clubs overseas to assist in emergencies,e.g Australian Bush Fires,Flooding in Samoa, Indonesia and the Philippines; Weston Hospice Care

How do we raise the money?

We are very well supported by the local community and local business

The Lions Carol Float is out and about for 16 nights around the local streets during Dec

We have a Carol Float Program that is delivered to over 6000 households full of advertising for local business

What else do we do?

There are two meetings every Month - On the 2nd Tuesday there is a Business Meeting that deals with the running of the Club and planning of Fund raising events.

The other meeting is a Social Event - A visit to a local Brewery is always popular!!!
